Real Estate Trends in Central Ohio 2017
Real Estate Trends in Central Ohio: The Growing Role of Our Aging Population on Housing Demand
Join the Columbus District Council of the Urban Land Institute at its annual event, Real Estate Trends in Central Ohio.
This year’s program includes:
A brief overview presentation by Jung Kim, Managing Director, Research and Business at Columbus 2020 highlighting key real estate trends for Central Ohio and the Midwest.
Given the important role housing development continues to play within our region’s development, our keynote presentation will be by Dr. Christopher Herbert, the Managing Director of Harvard University’s highly acclaimed Joint Center for Housing Studies. Mr. Herbert will be offering insightful information on many housing related trends from the Harvard Center’s current studies of housing in America including one of its most recent publications, Projections and Implications for Housing a Growing Population: Older Households 2015-2035. The Joint Center for Housing Studies’ reports and analyses serve as a significant resource for scholars, public and private sector leaders, housing practitioners, and policymakers.
At the end of Mr. Herbert’s presentation, a panel of local experts will join with Mr. Herbert in a discussion on the impacts of our growing aging population on housing markets.
