Each year ULI Columbus partners with the Fisher College of Business and Knowlton School of Architecture to help form multidisciplinary teams to compete in the national ULI Hines Student Urban Design Competition and a local case study. Teams are paired with local land use planning and real estate finance mentors. These mentors spend countless hours working with the student teams over a two-week period.
The Local Case Study project submission requirements follow the national project site and guidelines. However, students are required to give an in-depth presentation to a local jury. Design, financials, and live presentation are the three elements taken into consideration during the final selection.
The winning teams earned a cash scholarship prize, $2,500 graduate team prize and $1,500 undergraduate team prize.
