Join us for our inaugural awards dinner that will recognize John W. Galbreath, an internationally renowned developer, philanthropist, horse breeder and former owner of the Pittsburgh Pirates, as the first recipient of the ULI Columbus Visionary Award.

Mr. Galbreath will be recognized posthumously for his significant positive impact on our region and the many achievements throughout his lifetime that exemplify the ULI mission and principles of creating and sustaining thriving communities.

In addition to the Visionary Award, ULI Columbus will recognize winners of the following distinct categories:

Circa 1966 – John W. Galbreath, Bob Kupfer, Roger Turner and other members of Turner Construction Company in front of the first driven pile on the Mei Foo Sun Chuen residential project in Lai Chi Kok, Hong Kong. Developed by the Galbreath-Ruffin Corporation for Mobil Oil Corporation as the world’s largest privately-financed residential condominium complexes at that time, the development featured 99 apartment buildings of 20-stories each, with additional low-rise retail and commercial buildings. Mei Foo Sun Chuen was the most notable undertaking of John W. Galbreath’s real estate career.
